From 1942 to 1944, my great-grandfather served for Italy in World War II. He recorded this period in his war diary. As part of a project, I transcribed the diary and placed his experiences in a historical context. I also explored historical topics related to individual diary entries. And spoke in an interview with Luzia Tschirky about the war of aggression in Ukraine. I learned a lot about my great-grandfather and World War II during this project.
